The 4Ms Of Motivation
Happy Thursday everyone!
I hope you guys are crushing this week!
Today’s newsletter will be a very interesting one!
I want to talk about motivation and procrastination today.
I’m not sure how many people have heard or learned of today’s topic, but my guess is not many as it’s not really discussed.
The 4ms of motivation.
One of the most important things and habits you’ll ever form is knowing what motivates you.
Everybody has a vision and purpose for what they want to do with their life…
But not everyone has the motivation to get there.
It then becomes pointless because then there’s just a dream…
But without motivation, there’s no fuel in the car…
Resulting in that dream going to waste…
You must know how to motivate yourself.
You must know the fuel that drives you.
So what motivates you?
Most people don’t even know and that’s the problem…
After reading today’s newsletter and if you apply what you learn, you’ll never struggle with self-motivation or procrastination ever again.
So let’s get into each 4 in more depth.
Material/Money
The first one is materialistic.
No matter what society says, it’s okay to be driven by materialistic things!
It’s okay for there to be some greed.
Some of you have to start being honest with yourself.
Nice clothes, cars, houses, looking in the bank account and seeing lots of money…
These are all materialistic things, and if they appeal to you in any way, maybe this is your biggest motivator.
Momentum/Movement
The second M is Momentum.
The feeling of constantly being moving.
So in short basically having the freedom to do whatever you want.
Financial freedom.
Time freedom.
Location freedom.
But also having the freedom within your body and health.
Having freedom in your social life.
This one seems to be popular among entrepreneurs.
This is also my main motivator.
Freedom in all areas of my life motivates me.
Mating/Romance
The third is Mating.
Mating is more of a social connection motivator.
Marriage, relationships, sex, family, and having that bond with someone.
Usually romantically.
This one is for the lovers in the room.
Women dominate this area as that’s pretty self-explanatory.
Are you mainly driven by the romantic part of your life?
Mastery/Status
The last M is Mastery.
This is the need and feeling to just always be the best at everything that you do.
Very competitive people usually are mainly driven by this factor.
This comes with being more social as well as these people usually have a status and aura to them that steals the spotlight and lights up a room.
Are you extra competitive?
Are you driven by being respected and acknowledged when you walk into a room?
Maybe this one is for you…
Final Thoughts
Now knowing these and acknowledging them is just the first step…
You also have to do the test for yourself and see which ones you are mainly driven by.
You have to know exactly where the fuel is and get it inside your car.
That’s the hard part.
I think that the best way to know which M is your dominant motivator is by using envy.
Envy will tell you which is your dominant M.
Me, I never get envious when I see someone richer than me, more popular than me (status), or who has a greater social/romantic life than me.
But when I see someone with a free life being able to do water they want, boy does that envy and competitiveness kick in…
So which of these 4 gets you the most envious?
That’s how you find out your dominant M.
Find out which ones are your dominant and allow yourself to be selfish in that area.
After you learn and find out which one motivates you most, flip around the envy and use it for good.
If you can find your version of these, I promise you, you’ll never procrastinate ever again.
Why?
Because you’ll know what drives you when the chains of habits of procrastination get too strong…
That’s it for today’s newsletter, I hope you guys got immense value from this one.
Enjoy your weekend and as always leaving you with this quote:
“He who has a strong enough why can bear almost any how”

In life you can either get bitter or get better.
You can’t control the past.
Focus on controlling your reaction to it instead.
Use every mistake as an opportunity to get better.
Stay focused.
